This work was commissioned by 20-21 Visual Arts Centre in Scunthorpe as part of their family focussed summer programme. This artwork is a contemporary response to the recently refurbished church building, home to the main gallery space at 20-21, with its towering structure and gargoyle inspired painted faces.

The faces on each side of the tower are interactive and come ‘alive’ through Augmented Reality when viewed through the Artivive App.

To celebrate the installation of this artwork, we delivered two days of drop-in family workshops where children, parents and grandparents added chalk patterns to the base layer of the tower and constructed cardboard headdresses inspired by Tower of Totem.
